Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. she is the current president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss comes from California is a member of an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon, after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. After her parents split up in 1972, she believed they'd abandoned her. She joined the family business in the age of 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice President of the Lakers. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013, which is when the Lakers were passed down by Buss and her five siblings through a trust. Each sibling had an equal number of votes. Buss was elected in 2013 to take control for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss owns Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles, an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
