Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson
Nancy Wilson is a Grammy Award winner in jazz. Nancy Wilson was born on 20th February 1937 in Chillicothe Ohio, to Olden Wilson who worked at the ironworks as well as Lillian Ryan, a former domestic employee. Nancy was the youngest of six children. Nancy loved listening to the records of her father and his passion for music. When she was four, she knew she wanted to be a musician. She developed her musical talent through singing in church choirs. At the age of 15 and had a chance to win a talent show on TV and started appearing regularly in the Skyline Melodies Tv Show while at the time she was still in high school. In the same year, she started to work at nightclubs. Nancy graduated high school aged 17 and enrolled in the Ohio's Central State College, now Central State University for a full year. After that, she left to pursue a career as a professional musician. Her first recording was with Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band in 1956 with whom she toured from 1956 to 1958. Nancy made her debut record in the band's studio with Dot Records while in the band. Cannonball Adderley urged her to move to New York in order to increase her fame. She visited The Big Town, New York in the year 1959. Within a short time she had been singing at The Blue Morocco Night Club which is located at Boston Road near The Bronx. A representative from Adderley's company was able to hear her perform and promptly agreed to sign her. He obtained a contract for the label Capitol Records in the year 1960. she made her debut that year by releasing the single. Guess Who I Saw Today. Capitol Records issued five Nancy Wilson albums over a period of two years. At first, she focused on rhythm and blues, under the influence of Adderley, she shifted away from R&B and began to embrace jazz and torch songs. Their 1962 collaboration Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley led her to fame as she released her biggest song Tell Me the Truth in 1963. She was offered a job at the New York's Coconut Grove nightclub, America's top club.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers is an British TV and film actress. She played the leading role for Chloe Winthrop, in Netflix's film The Kissing Booth. In ABC Biblical's Of Kings and Prophets she starred as Michal who was the child of Israel the King Saul.
